Depression
How
do you describe depression? unhappy, feeling low, feeling down,
p****d off, fed up, maybe you can't even be bothered to find a way
to describe it. Depression can range from just feeling sad to utter
despair or even suicidal thoughts.
Depression,
following a bereavement or other trauma in your life is understandable
and usually follows a course where the mood gradually lifts in time,
this is usually referred to as reactive depression - that is you
are reacting to an event of some sort.
But
what about the sort of depression that just follows you around,
that is with you night and day even when things are going well for
you.
- feeling
unhappy most of the time (but may feel a little better in the
evenings)
-
losing interest in life and can't enjoy anything
- finding
it harder to make decisions
- can't
cope with things that you used to
- feeling
utterly tired
- feeling
restless and agitated
- losing
appetite and weight (some people find they do the reverse and
put on weight)
- taking
1-2 hours to get off to sleep, and then waking up earlier than
usual
- losing
interest in sex
- losing
your self-confidence
- feeling
useless, inadequate and hopeless
- avoiding
other people
- feeling
irritable
- feeling
worse at a particular time each day, usually in the morning
- thinking
of suicide.
Those
are just some of the many symptoms of depression and usually the
first step that people take for help is to their GP for a course
of anti-depressants. Medication is a very useful way to 'step back'
from the problem, giving you an opportunity to resolve difficult
situations..... But what if there is nothing to resolve, that you
know of...... what if your situation can't be altered?.... Then
you have to look at why you react the way that
you do and the best way to do that is with Pure Hypnoanalysis. Understanding
why your perception of past events affects how you react
to present circumstances, allows you to modify your behaviour naturally,
thereby ensuring that you don't have the same depressive response
in the future.
Therapies
such as Counselling, CBT, NLP or the like are very effective in
teaching you how to COPE with depression but Pure Hypnoanalysis
can resolve depression TOTALLY and PERMANENTLY.
